Well, we are in the 28th week and I am really showing now. I'm having the normal craving, growing pains and having to learn to move around with this big ol beach ball in my stomach, but overall, I feel good. We've decided on a name for our son, Hayden Mattox. The middle name is still up for debate. I decided to make all parties happy we should hypentate the middle name. So, it would be Hayden Ryan-Zephryn Mattox. That way Hayden can choose when he's older which middle name he wanted to keep. It's always nice to have options, right? Who know, he may like Zephryn and not Ryan? Stranger things have happened.
Anywho, a lot has happened in the last few weeks and I guess I better catch everyone up. Since my last blog, I turned 29. I always said I wanted to have my kids (kid) before I was 30. Mission accomplished. It was a great day. I had lunch with my friends, the crew at work bought me a great big GIANT cookie which I ate a lot of, had dinner with my mom and dad and my brother and his family, and honey bought me a Garmin Nuvi. Whew, it was a jam packed day. I won't be celebrating next year 'cause I really can't face the big 3-0. Man, I'm getting old.
Let's see, we are gearing up for my first baby shower on September 7 in Bristol. Brooks' mommy is throwing me a shower at our old church. I am so excited. We (vickie and I) went and registered a week or so ago and it took FOREVER!! I never knew there were so many different brands of pacifiers, breast pumps, bottles, nipple cream, car seats, car covers, whew. I think it took us around 3 hours to get everything and I still went home and added more stuff online. Vickie hooked me up with baby clothes. It took me two days to go through all the different sizes, wash and organize them in our closet. Trust me, Hayden will have no problem finding something to wear. My son is not even born yet and he has more room in my closet and more clothes in my closet than me or Brooks. I had to move Brooks' clothes to make room for his stuff. THANK YOU VICKIE!! God has truly blessed us. Brooks and I are gladly using hand me down items.
Oh, and I'm nesting now too. I know, it maybe a litte early still but I have a lot of work to do. I spent 9 hours on Saturday cleaning my downstairs. I just can't get everything clean enough. I am trying to declutter and reorganize the house to make room for baby. I never knew something so small can take up so much space. :)
I also decided that it was time for me to get in touch with my "domestic" side and learn how to sew. Yep, I, Andrea Nicole Mattox have purchased a sewing machine on my own accord. I never thought it would happen. It took Brooks and I together to figure out how to use the darn thing but I really like it. I am starting with small projects first so I don't overwhelm myself.
Well, I think that is it for now. I have to go to the doctor on Friday for my gestatinonal diabetes exam. I'll post more on how that went.
